Our commitment
"With Bayage, we want to help improve the cooperation a bit."
Female Empowerment
With everything we do, we would like to return a part to society.
Bayage stands for a community. For conscious action and equality. Since it is not yet a matter of course in today's society, we want to encourage women to believe in their own strengths and to realize their vision and dreams.
Our founders Laura and Julian founded the non-profit association Juamii e.V. in 2016, which supports schools in the slums of Nairobi/Kenya with clean solar energy and a sustainable self-sufficiency concept. During their stays in Kenya, they were particularly inspired by women.
Why do women play a special role?
In Nairobi's slums, the situation is almost hopeless for most people. There is little hope of a better future. But women in particular play a special role there by holding the families and communities together. Despite the difficult circumstances and unequal treatment in the country, women have a major impact on communities through their actions. Full of courage and selflessness, they conduct schools, small hospitals and orphans. Many of them have built them up themselves.
The women support themselves and always keep together in the difficult situation. The mutual support and the exchange among each other brings them forward. They learn from each other and encourage each other.
The effect on the communities is enormous. People are given hope and confidence.
What do we do with Bayage?
For us, women are true heroines of society, who are not given too little attention. You still have to fight hard for simple rights and the already difficult situation is more complicated to you by many restrictions. That is why we would like to ensure a change with Bayage and strengthen the votes of women. Together with you, we would like to advance the development and work for your rights.
